A family performance of clowning and fun for all ages. Join Michael in an adventure of discovery through a theatrical playground that will tickle your imagination and leave you laughing. Ample opportunities for audience participation include a cartoon-esque tug of war and a baseball game as you've never seen one before. Michael creates a world that continually surprises the audience, and even surprises himself! In one moment, his hand transforms into a harmonica-playing puppet which drags him reluctantly (or not!) into a world of musical comedy and chaos. CAHOOTS
In a departure from the vaudevillian physical comedy of his other shows, music and storytelling take center stage in ZERPHY!. This whimsical and poignant show features tall tales and banjo songs rolled into one. This show draws on a mix of Michael's Pennsylvania Dutch roots, anecdotes from his life on the road, and his active imagination and persistent desire to make audiences smile. With Banjo, Guitar, Harmonica, and other instruments of merriment, this is a one-man extravaganza of original songs, stories, and comedy.
Part of Michael's school performance series, Learning Through Laughter, CAHOOTS illuminates the poignancy and hilarity of the classic bumbling fool determined to find a way to deal with life's dilemmas. A chair takes on a life of its own in a battle with a clown, a young boy imagines a playful world in a box of cheerios and takes his dad along for the ride. This show illustrates that some of the most valuable problem-solving skills include creative thinking, persistence, and the ability to laugh at yourself.
